Why is my betPawa account locked?

No bot is named on any of these, and wait times are not published. For a formal complaint, betPawa acknowledges it within 3 business days and answers within 5. Is there tax on betPawa winnings in Nigeria?

Winnings are taxable in principle. The betPawa terms say players are responsible for tax on winnings and that betPawa will deduct any applicable taxes before crediting your account, without stating a rate. The Nigeria Tax Act 2025, in force since 1 January 2026, lists prizes and winnings as taxable income in section 4(1)(h). Law-firm explainers on the Deduction of Tax at Source (Withholding) Regulations 2024 report 5% withholding for residents and 15% for non-residents, deducted by the operator. Why was my betPawa deposit declined?

• Credit card: credit cards are banned by the terms. Use a bank transfer, a banking app or a wallet.
• Bank block: some banks refuse payments to online entertainment companies, so try another method.
• Wrong amount: a Monnify account number is valid for 30 minutes and takes the exact amount only. Wrong amounts are refunded.
• Name mismatch: the payment method must be in your own name.
• Wallet: MTN MoMo and Airtel SmartCash need a funded wallet, and OPay and PalmPay need pop-ups allowed.

If the money left your bank and is not in your betPawa balance, use the same phone number as your betPawa account, wait a few minutes, then check Account and Statements before you contact chat. Bank-app deposits are credited within 5 minutes when the phone number is the reference.

How do I verify my betPawa account?

Sign-up asks only for your phone number, a 4-digit PIN, first and last name and location. Verification comes later, where you meet certain conditions based on your usage, and betPawa may ask for ID such as a passport, proof of address or a utility bill. Tap the Verify Now link in the cashier banner and follow the steps. The status shows as Required, Verifying, Completed or Declined. It is usually done within 24 hours and can take up to 72. Use your real details, because false documents break the terms. The list of accepted documents is not published, so check the on-screen request and use the same name as your payment method.

Why did betPawa close my account?

The terms allow betPawa to refuse, suspend or close an account, and name typical triggers. These include more than one account, selling or sharing an account, false data, bonus manipulation, bots, a VPN, fraud or chargebacks, and abuse of staff. Under-18 accounts are closed and winnings forfeited. An account with no deposit, withdrawal or bet for 12 months is dormant and may get an admin fee or closure. Where it is closed without a breach, the balance is refunded, and for a dormant account it is returned within 30 working days where feasible. Closing your own account is possible in settings or through support. A permanent self-exclusion cannot be reversed, while a temporary one ends automatically on its date. To dispute a closure, file a written complaint, which betPawa acknowledges within 3 business days.
